About Us

Judit Gubacsi has enjoyed producing beautiful pieces of art since primary school. Her first love was pottery, ceramics and sculpting and she made a variety of bowls and vases. She also loved drawing and making craft in art classes.

Secondary school was fairly traditional but Judit could not give up her love of art so she attended university art school on the weekend to learn more about drawing, painting, sculptures and art history.

As soon as secondary school was finished, Judit completed a Diploma in Art Teaching at the University of Szeged in Szeged, Hungary.

At the same time she completed a one year certificate in Interior Design. She started her own small interior decorating business and worked full time in the transport and logistics industry completing administration duties.

The interior design business never really took off due to the slow economy in Hungary. She found the administration role boring and left to travel for a while and get married.

Judit now had the opportunity to put her art skills into a new craft. She designed a range of decorated glass jars with pink candy, place cards and table decorations and realized that it took a lot of time to put these together for a wedding.

She also realized that a lot of brides and families do not have the time to create beautiful wedding favours for guests. So she started coming up with new ideas and posting photos on a brand new website. They were an instant hit.

She branched out with new ideas including hand painted clothes pegs with the groom on one side and the bride on the other. Her succulents in small pots, craft boxes with macarons, honey jars and small glass vials with herbs and spices were particularly popular.

As soon as the website went live in March 2016, orders started coming in. This inspired Judit to come up with fresh new ideas every month.

She was contacted by the biggest wedding decorations magazine in Hungary, Esküvő Classic and was featured across multiple pages in their quarterly magazine in April 2016, circulation 15,000.

Judit was then contacted by a range of wedding decoration suppliers across Hungary who needed immediate supplies for the March to September wedding season. Judit developed a range of strategic partnerships so that she could distribute selected products that matched her creative flair via her website including special boxes, soaps, cake pops and personalised biscuits.

She also worked on the weekend for one of the most well known wedding decorations company in Hungary, Sugar Flower and learnt how to create floral arrangements and set up all of the decorations for a wedding.

She also attended a bridal bouquet, table decoration, flower crown workshop by Wild Flower Bar and a calligraphy workshop by The Fanatic Calligrapher.

Other unusual requests came in from people who had great ideas and wanted Judit to help them out (for example, a floral hot air balloon for a photo shoot).

Less than six months after starting her online shop, she moved to Australia and had to manage her shop from overseas. Customers were advised that orders would take longer to complete, but customers were willing to wait.

In 2017, she is setting up a new shop in Australia and is sure that her unique range of hand picked and hand crafted wedding favours and associated products will appeal to discerning customers looking for something unique and personalised for their special occasion. They provide the perfect sweet memory for guests.
