10 Mini Window Display Challenge Episode 3 Part 1-2 Plus Reveal

This week’s window display was a collaboration with Wild Cactus Co., and she gave me complete creative freedom.
No direction, no brief… just “do your thing, I trust you.”
Not going to lie, it started with a bit of pressure, but those are always the projects that turn into something special.

So, of course, I started where I always do, Pinterest.

I’ve never created anything around jewellery before, so I went deep into inspiration mode. I found some beautiful ideas and thought, “I can recreate this with my own materials.”
Foam boards, paint, a bit of experimenting…
And honestly? I hated it.
What was supposed to look like stone ended up looking like cheese blocks. I’m not even kidding (If anyone needs cheese props… I’ve got you)

Normally, I have two days to create, but this week I only had one, so the pressure was real.
But maybe you know this already…I work best when a deadline is looming over my head.

And then it clicked. I started from zero. I went back to her brand, her colours, her vibe.
I imagined Wild Cactus Co. and what it feels like, and built the whole concept from that.

10 Mini Window Display Challenge – Episode 03 Part 1 This window display is all about jewellery. I was lucky enough to create a display for @Wild Cactus Co. ’s new collection! I wanted the display to have a natural, beach-inspired vibe with soft, earthy colours. I didn’t have a clear idea from the beginning. I started creating something, but it just didn’t feel right. Two days ago, I decided to restart from zero. Using what I already had at home is always a challenge, and I had never created a jewellery display before, but in the end I think it all came together beautifully. Follow for the final reveal! For the base, I wanted to use some sand; luckily, I had sand-patterned paper at home (don't ask. My friend calls my room "mini Spotlight")

I used one Pinterest image as a base to create the necklace props, foam boards, and texture paste, then painted everything white for that soft, sculptural look. Then I added shell and palm leaf shapes in her brand colours to bring in that subtle coastal feel. I cut her logo from gold paper with my trusty cutting machine. I could’ve used gold vinyl, but since I’m creating 10 window displays, everything needs to come apart at the end, so I’m sticking to temporary solutions. Even the plinths are handmade from foam board and wrapped in cream paper.

This is the inspiration picture:

Then it was time to assemble the window, and that was the best part.
Seeing all the jewellery in place made me so happy, and the vision finally came to life.
Sadly, the sun was not out when I took the photos, but I still captured some beautiful photos and videos of the window.

10 Mini Window Display Challenge x @Wild Cactus Co. Episode 03 Part 2 - The Reveal Thank you for letting me showcase these beautiful pieces of jewellery! I hope I captured the beachy, sun-kissed vibe I was going for with this display. Creating this window pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I loved bringing together the warm natural tones, gold details, and organic shapes for the new collection. Foamboards from @Officeworks Frame and other supplies from @Spotlight Cut with @Cricut What product should I use next for Episode 04? Tell me in the comments! 👇

If you like the jewellery you can buy them on the Wild Cactus Co. website.

What do you think? What should I do next?
